Steroid use in cats

Thanks for all the suggestions on my Ferule cat. We left town for a few days, and I had run out of the Clavmox for him. sooo… as you can guess, he is in a lot of pain and I don`t even know if I will be able to get him to eat any meds in his food. I am going to pick up some L-Lysin… my guess it is in pill form and hopefully he will eat is. I will quarter it…I certainly can`t give him any meds that you rub on his gums… I have a call into forgotten felines and they are going to get back to me on what to do….. I doubt he will go into a trap. Hopefully they will get me some meds… I just want him to be comfortable and pain free…..No vet will give me anything because the want to see the cat….. WTH…. he`s ferule !!!! I need help !!!!! I hate to see him grabbing at his mouth… If I just leave him, will he just go off and die ??? I’m just sick !!!! help…help…

Giambi started off his Major League career playing for the Royals, for whom he played for parts of two seasons. He was mentioned in Michael Lewis 's book Moneyball as one of the replacement players for his older brother, Jason and became a character in the film that starred Brad Pitt . Despite his off field troubles, Jeremy was looked at by Billy Beane , the general manager of the Oakland Athletics , because of his plate discipline . The Athletics had acquired Giambi from the Royals in exchange for Brett Laxton prior to the 2000 season. [1]

I have 4 Scottish Deerhounds. I have gone over to raw diet as I am fed up with seeing all sorts of chemicals added to dry foods. Dry food to me is processed food. As with humans processed food is convenient but causes so many health problems ….. I understand everything is made up of chemical elements but dogs in the wild ate animal and vegetable matter. The food companies are obliged to state, by law what is in the foods but i know there are some food stuffs that do not need to be disclosed….they’re the ones i’m afraid of.
I give commercially prepared raw food…meats with crushed bones, fruit and veg added added. Usually 85% meat and crushed bone 15% apple, carrot, butternut squash, sea kelp, salmon oil and in 2 of the meats,..chicken and lamb have 50mg/kg VitC. I also give a small chicken carcass, usually one per dog every other day. these carcasses are tiny and only the breast section. Are my dogs getting too much calcium. Their poos are rock hard, much paler and less of it. They do not seem to have any outward problem and all other signs and symptoms appear to be very normal. But am I interfering with their insides??? I also add, SOMETIMES, broccoli, cauliflower, peas (crushed) and sweetcorn ….all mixed frozen veg from supermarket, defrosted and blitzed in the blender then give 2 tablespoons each dog. extra fruit of apples and bananas and segments of satsumas. also they get natural yogurt when I have it… 2 big spoons each I weigh my dogs regularly and feel for condition and alter any quantities according to weight/exercise ..(had to do same for horses)

My cat has painful teeth and bad kidneys such that he needs to be given subcutaneous fluids every day. He is now throwing up his food and in pain and we think it’s his teeth but the vet says his kidneys won’t tolerate anesthesia so he can’t help with the teeth. I want to give him oil of oregano because that kills gram negative bacteria such as grow in teeth infections. I read that cats can take this if it’s natural (high quality w/o fillers of any kind) and of course that it must be diluted as oil of oregano is extremely irritating. At the same time I see at many other sites that oil of oregano is toxic to cats because it requires some enzyme (glucaridase?) to eliminate phenols (whatever their source). So…I am not talking about giving this every day but maybe for 3-5 days or so to get rid of infection. What advice do you have on this? Thanks
